87 prelude has no spark or fuel pressure
i have an 87 prelude 1.8 5 speed and i picked it up for 100 bucks with a new fuel pump, filter, spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, coil, and battery and it kicks over like a champ but there is no spark and no fuel pressure and i am at a loss of what to do, they told me that it ran decent and then they replaced the clutch and then it wouldnt start so i was thinkin that the ground for the ecu was messed up but i dont know where to look for it so yeah any and all suggestions would be awesome so yeah let me know please
They SAID that it ran before the clutch. Then, they sold it to you for $100? At a price like that, you can expect some expenses to get it running again.
On the helpful side, don't assume that anything that is new works. It's a place to start to check all of the components to make sure that they are working properly; beginning with the fuel pump, fpr, injectors, distributor, plugs, etc. If the engine is turning over, then your ecu should be just fine. These do not typically fail.

it isnt getting any fuel pressure at all and i just put the new fuel pump and all that stuff in so yeah and i have a fuel filter right before the carbs and there is no fuel going throught it when i crank it over
Those are a vaccuum style pull on the fuel, not pressurized like a EFI system. Have you tried spraying carb cleaner down the throats of one of the carbs to let it try to cough over on that and see if it draws fuel that way?
Also, check the main relay under the dash, to the left of the steering column, got some big wires in it. It can go out, espeically being that old.
