JDM B16A into my american 97 civic ex
i recently got a B16A out of a japanese honda integra xsi. i am living in japan right now and i will be here for a couple more years. i need to know a lot of things about doing this swap. first off, will my D16 transmission work on the B16A? also where can i get a new computer and wiring harness that will fit this engine and my car. my car is a 97 civic ex, not near fast enough so i really want to upgrade the engine and put a turbo on it. so if anyone has any advise for me i'd appreciate it. you can e mail me or just reply.

B series to B series.
D series to D series. They don't play togther.
In the states the Engine must be the same year or newer. I.E. if you have an engine that is older than 97, sell it cause you cannot do a damn thing with it.

ok so i can't use the transmission from the D16 on the B16A so i'll just get a new trany and a better computer. I'm not selling the engine, it will work with my car so i'm not sure what your thinking. its the same engine that goes in a 99 civic si, same engine number same compression ratio, same horse power and torque. so i should be able to order parts for a 99 civic si and they will work on my new engine right?
