valve cover bolts broke

Default valve cover bolts broke

ok im a dumbass and over tourqued my vc bolts... the back one.. and the front left one....it dont appear to leak..one is broke where i cant see it and the other is sticking out.. any suggestions on what i can do?????thanks

I did the same thing when i was first learning.......Just go to the junk yards and take them off a scrap head or w.e.I believe you need a 14mm or a 12mm can't remeber? with an extension.Very easy to take off and put on gl.don't worry it looks bad right now but just get the 2 replacement ones and your

thee one is down in the hole and i cant get it out.. it broke at the bottom .. how would i get that screw out...and yeah im just learnin about civics and stuff..hopefully i dont have my d16y8 in there long ..wantin to put a b20 in it with a b16a1 head....but i need a fix untill i get enough cash

are you saying it dropped in ur head Can you see it with the valvecover off?

get a magnet(the retracktable type)It looks like a wand;if you can grab the one and then just replace both you should be golden goodluck man.

No hes saying the bolt broke off too low and he cant get it out.

For the one that you can still see thread above the head on, take vice grips and twist it out.

For the other one, get an easy out and drill it out of the hole... be careful not to damage the threads though. If you arent comfortable doing it, take it to a shop.
