Default bb6 going obd1 ecu question

cant seem to get a clear answer...
when going obd1 in a 01 base lude
i need a chipped ecu such as a p72 w a s100 hondata chip (or any chip for that matter like crome neptune eCtune etc...)
a jumper for stock harness to new ecu
anything else?
do i need to change dizzy? change knock sensor? or is that all taken car of in jumper?
thanks

are you using obd1 for less restrictions or are you doing a swap?

+1 same question here. BTW to help with tuning u should get a fuel pressure regulator and maybeee some adjustable cam gears to advance timing a bit.

i was tuning my apex and my car would stay rich in high rpms no matter what, tuner recommended a FPR and Cam gears but im gonna switch the ecu to obd1 for proper tuning.

Im definately going with the p72 but he didnt tell me if i needed anything else, i asked but all he does is sell the items mentioned. BTW are those prices ok?...im just waiting for a clear answer

I'm assuming that you made a type-o in this post and that you actually have a Type-SH Prelude ( I made that assumption based upon your later posts that mention the ATTS system )...

I have spoken with Nick at Jotech Motorsports in the past about this. He told me that the wiring harness takes care of all of the issues regarding the knock sensor and distributor. Please keep in mind that this is what I HAVE BEEN TOLD, and I do not claim responsibility for the validity of this statement.

I have done this, I have a 2000 SH. Then rebuilt my head with skunk 2 everything and skunk2 pro 2 cam shafts. and put p28 with hondata s300. even took out my 2nd o2 sensor. I love hondata, but im sure just a chipped p72 will work fine.

i have just recently went to obd1 ecu. the only problem i have run into is CEL 9 (cyp). after reading all info from this site and others, i believe it is due to the cyp sensor being worn out, not putting out a strong enough signal for the obd1 ecu's liking. you can go to obd1 dist. if you want, some work envolved. if you get a p72 you can still use iab. both obd1 and obd2 have the same sensors just different places the. this all stuff i have read on different forums, the info is out there

i can live with the check engine light on, ive had it on for a while because i have no cat.

ive been searching and saw that even if i put cam gears to advance timing, i need to do a obd 1 distibuter conversion to avoid a CEL from the advancing the exhaust gear. BUT do i still need to convert to obd1 distributer if i change over to obd1 ecu and install cam gears? Wouldnt tuning with crome advance timing also meaing i really wouldnt need the cam gears?

from my understanding all you need is the chipped ecu and a jumper
should plug and play
you can get more indepth tuning w an obd1 dizzy
but not a must

someone confirm...
