Default 90' DX Hatch Beater: Crack in Stock OEM Radiator, at around the bracket area? Cheap Fix?

Out of curiousity do you guys think i would be alright using some JB weld on the thumb long hairine crack(ghetto i know lol)? It caused my car to overheat cause it lost alot of Coolant out that hole... Do you guys think JB weld would hold? This is just my beater soooo....

Or should i just get a replacement OEM radiator?

I needed a quick fix one time and I tried jb weld. it doesnt hold very good. I used some fiberglass resin and mixed it up and brushed it on. then put a layer or 2 of fiberglass woven mat then more resin. It held fine but didnt want to risk the pressure blowing it off so I drilled the center rivet of the rad cap so it wouldnt hold any pressure. didnt leak and didnt overheat, painted it high temp black and sold the car, was still holding a year later

Thanks for your input bro. Fiberglass and all that is foreign to me, i would rather get a new radiator.

Anyone got any guesses to what would work ok? Chewing gum maybe LOL?? haha

alright i had a leak in mine but its not the right rad for the car ......it was off a trans cooler pipe at the bottom. what i did was drain the rad and take it out. then go to o reillys and buy 60 second epoxy lol and black silicone. i siliconed it first and let it dry. then slapped on a *** load of epoxy and it holds it and looks stupid at the same time.

I have a 91 hatch STD. I used JB weld on my radiator two years ago, probably 25,000 miles ago and it has not leaked at all. My problem area was the screw area that holds the fan assembly on, at the top of the radiator. The whole female screw well section came off the radiator leaving a gaping whole. I used JB weld to put it back together and it works fine, even though it is also holding part of the weight of the fan assembly. That JB weld is great stuff!

Haha Awsome, my gut feeling told me it should work, but i didnt want to risk it as its my daily beater.

I just took the hit for a new OEM replacement one, 100 bucks down the drain.
