battery light flickers when vtec opens it high revs

hi guys... i hope you guys can help....
i just changed my battery and alternator...but the battery light comes on and sometimes flickers when i rev the car above 6k rpm or basically when the vtec opens.
at low speed or normal crusing speed everything is fine...
do you guys think its an alternator belt slip?

i drive an 91 EF3 with a b16a engine

possibly belt tensioner is lose...also check your grounds

try getting an alternator test, or maybe testing it yourself. The internal voltage regulator may be going out, and the voltage is spiking at high rpms.

What I was thinking...check to make sure you did tighten your leads down on your battery too. Could jsut be when you really get on the throttle it is shaking the battery.
