My girlfriend drives a '94 Prelude DOHC and I'm changing her oil. When buying the 2 filters, 1 for my 89 crx and 1 for her 94 prelude I saw that they were both the same size for STP which is s2808 (they were running some deal on them). My problem is, once I took off her old oil filter I compared it to the new one and the diameter of the new one is bigger than her old one. I looked on several sites and they all say the same STP s2808 is used on the car. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

only difference is the amount of oil they hold it wont effect anything.

 

They use the same filter. Some filters are bigger depending on manafacture. Like the fram filter has a OD bigger than the honda filter. Both work tho.
