clutch sticks? searched didnt find what i needed.
well im looking to buy a 94 del sol vtec. and when i test drove the car the clutch would push in but then never came back out. i had to pull it out with my foot and then while driving the clutch just pulled itself back in. it was very unsafe. but my first thought was the slave clylinder but there is no leaks and he put more clutch fluid in it and it supposedly works decent now but it has happened 2 times so i would assume there was a leak but i didnt see one. any help would be awesome. sorry for the long post.

It could be possible that the slave cylinder in fact was leaking and you just didn't see it. I had a problem like that around a month ago. Its an easy $40 fix and something you wont have to worry about later.
Did you remove the rubber boot that covers the end of the clutch fork? if its leaking thats where you'll see it, hard line may have rotted through somewhere, flex hose might have rubbed through on something, master cylinder might be bad, see if you have brake fluid running down the inside of the firewall.
i didnt do that because its not my car yet but i just wanted to know if it would be much of a problem if i bought the car. maybe i can get a price drop for it wish me luck.
the symptom with the pedal not returning is caused by air in the system or a leak.
something is leaking somewhere i am betting. the system is pretty simple so i wouldn't worry about trouble with fixing it if you buy the car. if i were buying it though i would expect the owner to drop the total cost of possible repair from the sale price, or have it fixed at no charge before money changes hands.

slave cylinder for sure. i would not let this prevent you from buying the car in any sort of way. its an easy fix, and its commen for hondas... well atleast my long expierance with all the hondas ive had. i garentee thats the problem. bleed it first, and retry it. if it does it again, replace it. i garentee youll be good to go. use it to talk to them of course, lol. if possable.
