an other welder question
I plan to start fabrication of manifold. So I check welder on ebay and I dont know wich will do the job.

How about other cheap no name 300$ welder.

thats a similar welder i started on but it was the dragster 80.
that will probably be ok for sch10 but 40 may be pusning it especially because the dutycycle will be very low at say 70 amps. you wont be able to weld too long before it overheats and you need to let the welder cool.
if you can, try to get a welder with 100%duty cycle at a current you will be most likely welding at. that welder is probably good for 100% duty at maybe 40 or 45 amps. good for exhaust work

don't waste you money on that... if you're gonna do it do it right. I found mine on craigslist for $1800 brand new.

yeah, that machine your looking a has stratch start where you have to touch the material with the tungsten to get the arc to start. When you touch the material it contaminates the weld.
