Default 91 Accord LX Shifter Boot Removal

hey! how do i remove the stock shift boot from my car? ive got the center console taken apart, but the shift **** its self is being stubborn and wont come off. id like to keep it in one piece so i could put it back on if i decide to sell the car.

i believe the stock **** has clips on the inside. pry it with a tiny flat head screw driver where the **** meets the boot. itll come off.

No.

Just twist it counter clockwise - the first time takes awhile but it'll go. To remove the actual boot take off the center console (2 screws on either side by the front of the seat bottoms) And maybe one or two more screws, then there should be approx 4 screws holding the boot on.
