IMO springs are springs, struts are what makes the difference. But im sure your going to hear different on here.

I've had everything from Eibach, Skunk 2, Ground Control, Omni, Tein and even Ebay springs and to me they all rode the same. Now struts was a different story

Get the right struts to go with it... those OEM ones are *probably* close to shot already, and will die quick with lowering springs.

Yeah you could do that, but its not going to lower your car, and do not heat/cut your stock springs. I'll post a pic of what a heated spring looks like after about 10k miles worth of useage

Im currently running KYB AGX struts which for all 4 is going to run you around 400bucks give or take 30bucks depending on shipping and where you order yours from. Springs anywhere from $50 ebay ones to 400

For a daily driver, I recomend KYB GR-2's and either Eibach Sportline springs, or Tein S-Tech springs... that combination will give you a super nice ride quality and a decent drop too

you should go with coilovers so you can adjust your ride height whenever you want, omni, skunk2, ground controls.

I found my set-up for cheap, this is definitely the route I'd go with.

$400 for a set of KYB AGX's?
You can get Koni's or Illuminas for that.
I found a set of KYB AGX's on ebay for $280, free shipping, brand new in box.
Real ones too. Shipping took just over a weak, but big diffrence.
You can also find NIB Ground Control Coilovers for the same price on Ebay.
Be careful of generica Ebay spring though, I have a set on my car. The sleeve doesn't fit the stock shock, and the springs sag like another inch every month.
Panducky and Ground Control both have deals on the Koni/GC combo right now.
