Default Rocky Mountain Raceway Sport Compact event

Just wanted to say a big thanks to RMR for putting on the Sport Compact event in Utah.
Ron Craft and staff did a great job of taking care of the racers with NICE payouts and cool trophys.
There was a great crowd on Friday night watching the drifting and checking out the
Pro FWD car all night long. Most had never seen anything like it and the team was
answering questions about it for hours.

The track itself is laid out perfectly for a Drift / Drag event. The crowd could
very easily go over the top of the stands to watch either event.

The track surface was smooth and theVegas style clean bathrooms were a big plus!
We had fun and look forward to going back next year.

Put it this way. I got a chance to talk to Marty Friday night. Very nice and humble guy
Due to the high elevation and dry heat he did pretty good. His exact words to me when i asked him how he liked the track. He said" It's a great track, didn't have to lift at all like i have to do at some other tracks".
Marty went 7.30-7.60's better times of corse later on when it cooled down. Traps of 190mph plus. Not sure the exact times.

Turbo Street Kyle Herrera won. Rest of us had Mechanical problems. lol But Kyle cut a .000 light in round 2 qualifying!! only 5 cars qualified, funny thing is 3 out of the 5 cars qualified in the 9's and number 4 qualifier was a 10.2. Kyle had a relaxing final round by himself down the 1320!
Franky solved his problem from Vegas and ran 11.9 in Utah! with no Traction!
Watch out Sac! Hes coming for ya! Franky ran pro all motor and raced Grace in the finals. Grace took the win with a 10.5.
Jake Montgomery won the hotrod class with 9.0 @ 16x
Cody Phillips (WOTM Supra) won the Turbo RWD with a 9.xx

Welcome to the forum Marty, wow impressive having someone like you take the time out to join us.

I see I'm not the only one that wish some of the tracks would take better care of the bathrooms.

Good luck with the rest of the season.

I LOVE the way RMR is layed out, standing on top of the divider between the 2 track is nothing short of kickass! Burnouts under the bridge are INSANELY loud lol great to see all the fast *** utah hondas in action, you guys really know how to build clean, fast cars btw midnight drags is where its at!! thats an f-ing party for sure

I was out there on vacation and went up on friday and it was cool to see marty out there. The crowd definitely seemed amazed to see a 7 second fwd. And I agree the track layout is sweet how you can see both tracks and even see the motocross guys.

Even though the turnout was low, we still had a blast meeting everyone and seeing people we met last season.
The track is unbelievable smooth and very sticky. Every time I staged my car I would glance down the track and the starting line, not one bit of sand, dirt, or debris. Always very impressed with the track surface. And the RMR staff is very friendly every time we go there. Ron Craft the track manager is one stand up guy!! Very nice to talk to and gets along with everyone and does everything he can to help the racers.
Looking forward to coming back next season for sure! We need to get a BOTI out there. It is a great facility for any type of event. You can't go wrong!

Thanks to all for the nice comments and thanks to Franky for a great show
of sportsmanship and waiting for us in the final of All Motor.

We ran a few low 7.60's with a best of 192mph which we were happy with
because of the elevation.
