Is there a difference?
My 1990 CRX b16 HF when I bought it....I didn't cut that bumper for fart can exhaust

Genuine 1990 CRX SIR (which I wasn't able to import)

I fail to see the difference. The 90 up USDM rexes have the thinner door/bumper impact strip.
Can anybody point out how the 90 usdm is different than the jdm sir?

I think the 90 tails are the same as well. The diff in the pics is just the way the light is hitting it.
Still looking for more feedback on how the JDM bumper is different...

rebar? What do you mean by that? Do you mean bumper support? In the case of USDM rex's I'm fairly certain the rear supports are all the same, hf dx si.
It seems to be that in the case of JDM sir rear bumpers its all a scam if you have a 90 up rex.
However, it totally makes sense to get if you have an 88/89 with the wider center impact strip and want to match the JDM front bumper....

Quite simply put,
JDM cars do not have as stringent crash testing standards as we do in the US. Cosmetically, the rear CRX SiR bumpers may be identical to the USDM/CDM 90-91's, but they weigh considerably less due in part to the lack of a proper bumper support.
For the hatchbacks, the SiR bumpers are physically different in that they extend slightly further from the chassis, but the concept is the same. They lack a proper bumper support that may save your car from a low-speed impact.
The CRX SiR rear bumper support weight savings is not worth it for a street car IMO. Stick with the USDM/CDM 90-91.
