I drive a 1991 Honda Accord

This is my daily driver but it has had a wierd condition where when i try to start it the check engine light comes on and the sport light flashes

but it doesnt happen all the time mostly in warm weather

also if i keep trying to turn it over and the car does start it wont really shift

if i keep turing the car to the on position the light maybe on so i turn it off then try again and it could be off

it has been pissing me off

I think your transmission computer could be the cause. If you were to take the cover off the computer, you might find dark spots on the circuit boards where the capacitors have leaked on them. Check it out.

PS: Until you can get it fixed, you might want to find a parking spot in the shade.
