Default Very Easy Question

What ballast for the HID lights does this car have? Specifically the 2001 AP1 if that matters.

Any info on this ballast will be helpful, thanks!

The temperature of the bulbs is 4300k if that helps

d2s is the bulb. the ballast that fires it up is for a d2s bulb haha. there's also D1S, D2R, D4S and whatnot

What exactly do you wanna know about them? The AP1's usually go for pretty cheap because they are so large. Here are some pictures...

Thanks for the pictures, that helped the most. Well scratch that idea, those are way too big to fit (retrofit into an '08 R6 project).

How do you seperate the Ballasts from the housing?

it takes some kind of torz bit with a whole in the center i believe...took mine off to bake the headlights and clear them.

Yeah, it's called a "security bit". You can usually get the smaller ones and automotive stores. I use these on my seats, special ordered from McMaster Carr
