1990 CRX SI Temp gauge install
I am installing an autometer water temp gauge in my 90 crx si. I believe that I found the appropriate lead connected to the insturment panel, that I can tie into for this gauge. I was hoping that someone could give me some other ways of hooking up the gauge without tying into the instrument clusters temp gauge. Any thoughts??

Tell us what you have to work with...
I would tap off of something else and not touch the stock stuff... Radiator cap tap maybe.

Thankx,
I have a 90 crx si.
the gauge that i am installing is an autometer temp gauge. the gauge has 3 prongs. 1 is for a main ground ( easy), the 2nd is for a 12v ignition (easy tap into fuse box, or other ignition type line) the 3rd is for the temp connection. The gauge came with an adapter that you would have to tap into the block, or use the temp sensor located under the distributor. The one under the distributor is not the same thread size from what others have told me (i did not try it). I also have an autometer 4.5" tach with shift light installed, and I ran the tach sensor wire to the instrument cluster tach wire. I was going to do this the same way, but I was not sure which wire is for the temp.
