Can i use a wide band vs a MAP?
im im the process of trying to figure out the management for by turboed bike. its Fuel Injected but its a pretty crude setup. it doesnt use any form of air intake measurement and doesnt have a o2 sensor. I was checking out the dynojet wideband commander which obviously is a wide band o2 sensor kit. that will plug into my current engine management.
Q: is a WB o2 sensor alone enough to base fuel on?

in short, YES, but load? no. thats where the map comes in. you need the map sensor to know how much of a load the engine is under to properly fuel it.

U need a REALLY GOOD adjustable rising rate fuel presssure regulator. Then you use the power commander to remap the injectors based on your wideband feedback. The regualtor will raise fuel pressure in accordence to boost, so you want to set that so its getting you as close as possible to the AFRs you are tagrgetting, then use the mapping of the power commander to get the rest.
if its based off what the o2 sensor is reading, you are relying on that sensor alone (closed loop) what happens when that sensor fouls out, tells your engine management the engine is rich, when in fact its lean.... good bye pistons ?
any aftermarket engine management "should" be able to run almost any engine, take your pick and put it on there. proper management = proper running engine.
