Default Opinions on block guards...

Ive heard a lot about how they create hotspots in the cylinder because they restrict coolant flow, but Golden Eagle's blockguard looks pretty free-flowing... anyways, without sleeving (wayyyy out of the budget for now) can i run this pig to a reliable 300hp or so?

They're not junk, they do a half *** job at protecting your block - sometimes they work, most of the time they don't.

For 300hp it doesn't sound like you're running anything too tricky, so I wouldn't bother with it.
