Default 2000boostedex's 94 gsr build thread

Well I figured I will try and keep a thread updated on the build of my teg which is going into its third makeover I believe.. I bought it a 500hp pump gas beast and then from there I got it to make 655hp with the help of T1. Pics from then are here

and then I pulled that motor after some probs and put in a stock gsr with a turbo kit and was making 316hp with a t1 tune at that time and she looked like this

and now its going on to this and how it sits right now.

I am looking to shave the bay this time around, delete the abs, a wire tuck of course and maybe tuck the brake lines but I wont be getting rid of my heat The power plant will be a b18c with ib spec 12.5:1 pistons and ib spec rods, an itr head with rs machine cams and some other goodies I am sure u will see in pics.. I am going to try out some twm itb's on it and I hope I can get them to work out ok for me. i also have picked up some 15" bronze volk ce28's for the car as well.. Anywho onto progress.

Day 1
Well i finished up the tuck on my eg which is here

and then decided to finally start up on my teg that has been sitting for over 6 months as I gathered parts for its next build.. Today I figured I would start on the motor though so I went ahead and got the old piston rings off the pistons and cleaned them up a little and also fitted the new rings to them after filing them to specs. I went ahead and set the new crank in position and about to start plastigaging everything and then the gf called and I had to go eat anywho here are some pics of today and some pics of the parts going on it.. Enjoy and I will try to keep this thread updated

well finally got around to doing something on the car lol since the crank thing is still bothering me. Anywho some progress today was all on the brake system and getting lines and the abs out. Also got the clutch lines out and most of the headlight harnesses out of the bay. Fenders are almost off just got to put that one bolt out below the sideskirts but I was tired by that point. Here is a pic of where I left off for the day..

Got some more work done today. Went ahead and pulled the dash and the hvac stuff and started to work on the harnesses. I had to reloom the whole p/s side harness to get all the abs stuff out of it because I am no longer using abs. Also got most of the srs wiring out but the brain is still there until i get a torx bit to get it out but I will have that next week. Got the driver side harness done as well just had a little work to do on that side so it didnt take long. Should be starting on shaving the bay here soon, I can't wait Here are some progress pics

all the abs bs

fuse box now inside hanging out for the time being

Will be working some more on it tomorrow so keep looking for updates.

Few more things were done today. I retaped and loomed the whole passenger side headlight harness and driver side harnesses so those are both done now. Also got the srs brain out and the brackets that go along with it. Removed a few brackets from the engine bay since I got the new spot weld drill bit I started to remove the subframe to start getting it cleaned up and painted but of course one of the tie rod ball joints wont come off so I will have to try that again another day. Oh well here are some pics of today

The engine harness connectors

where the brain used to reside

I only got a decent pic of the p/s headlight harness I forgot about the d/s

all the abs stuff finally out completely

where the brackets once were

and how I left it for the day
