I need a little del sol help please.
I know, I know, I'm a N3WB at hondas but I need some help. I ran a search and couldnt find the answer that im looking for from previous posts and threads so if i can get a kind individual to answer my question, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm an LS1 truck guy with a fair amount of wrench time and tech know how under my belt. I have a girlfriend with owns a del sol thats starting to develop issues in its old age. The head gasket is starting to fail and i want to save her a little money by changing it for her. The car is bone stock and not used for any kind of performance so thinner gaskets that raise compression and hardened ARP bolts are not necessary. Think of how you would fix your grandmothers car.
THE MODEL: 1995 Civic Del Sol with a 1.5l and automatic.
THE QUESTION: Does anybody know the OEM part number (or comparable part) for the head gasket and bolts (if torque to yield)?
**If anybody has a how-to website on a head gasket swap for such vehicle or even motor.
Guys, I do appreciate any help you may offer. Thanks again.

The head bolts are not torque to yield so no need to replace them. Make sure and have the head checked and milled if its not in spec. Also since you will be pulling the head it is a good time to replace the timing belt. You are working on an interference engine and if it fails bad things can happen. While you are in there doing the timing belt it is recommended to also change out the water pump do to how hard it is to get to.
Thanks a million guys. Does anybody know of a how-to site? When i was learning about my truck and mods, i used a site called http://www.ls1howto.com. Is there anything similar for these engines?
