Jackson Racing S/C on LS/VTEC w/11.6:1 Compression?

I just finished building my ls/vtec for all motor. Compression is around 11.6:1 according to c-speedracing.

My friend is selling his Jackson Racing Supercharger and was wondering if it would be safe to run the S/C on stock boost setting (6-7psi)?

i really would not feel comfortable running 6-7psi of non-intercooled air into an engine with 11.6:1 compression. Now I'm not saying it cant be done, with the right tuner and fuel anything is possible, but i personally would not go there...
