Default Casey's eg(time to finish)

Every time I get on H-T I find myself going to the build threads. I figured it was about time that I get off my butt and finish mine. I am about finished with My house here in St. Bernard Parish (New Orleans) So please hang in there with me, this might take a minute. All right show and tell time..
Here is the area where I live during Katrina... Stupid storm took my Grandmother

Stripping out my House

My house today

All right on to the car. When the hurricane came we had a 93 Accord and a 90 crx.

Ended up selling the crx to help put a more reliable motor in the CB7. After I bought my wife a "newer" car......

I started to modify my H22....

And my CB7 went through many stages before I found the chasis I always wanted...

Well on to my civic
H22a
Brauning Motorsports P&P head
crower stage 2 cams
crower valves
brian crower springs titanium retainers
S100 in p28
skunk 2 TB w/ port matched plenum
Rmf header (thanks Randy)
buddy club exhaust
oil cooler

Function Form type 2
skunk2 camber kit front and back
asr subframe brace
itr sway bar
skunk2 LCAs
ETD traction bar

15" slips with bfg sports
GSR Brakes

old school Nardi steering wheel
del sol seats

Thanks to jhpusa (daryl), inlinefour, icb, mfactory, and EBAY

Alright here are my issues.. SOME DENTS....

Next is my Mounts.. I think I might have the wrong transmission bracket. The one I have is from the CB7. I am going to check to see if the CB7 and the prelude part #s match.

My next step is body work and paint. I ordered my paint over a year ago.... here it is with other cars painted the same or near the same....

I tell you after seeing cars like donuts or the s2000 on this months Honda Tuning or blukes, it is hard not to paint it white, I already paid for it though, so it will be blue for now.

I need to finish my tuck . Get a new clutch line and redo my back seats (thinking of microfiber for my kids---if they would ever ride in it!!!) I want to finish polishing my wheels and get smaller tires. I want to do a custom intake as well. Lastly I want type s pistons and a better final drive.

My wife says my car looks like a station wagon....That's ok I bought her a box

let me know what you think --and have a good day!

Alright not much of an update but here we go.....

I decided since my time is short between work and being a youth pastor, that I would get some smaller things out the way. I had this idea about reupholstering my back seats, until I seen how much it entailed. So here is the tear down of the seats.
They were pretty dirty from the previous owner(s).

I started taking them apart to find this rusted mess.

They had clips everywhere

Smokey

washing time

They actually came out real good. Way better than I hoped. I am going to order new hardware and clean and paint the rest.

Alright, I have been busy at work. I work on the Mississippi River, tying up ships. Because of the oil spill we are either slow or extremely busy. I work 24hrs. on a and 48hrs. off, and sometimes 48 on 24 off. I also am the youth leader at my church, so I have a lot to do. Today I had to help a mission team sheetrock one of our church members house. They were cool people. I received my Hasport bushings and 1 of my majestic orders. I also got a clutch line from B&R Fittings. I am waiting for my prelude mount from majestic to install everything. In the meantime I decided to do a DIY.

Majestic order

I have some Rays lugs from when I had my volk te37s on my Accord. But I Hated the Red that turned into pink anodization.

So I researched in Yahoo, and found out how to strip the anodized coating off.

Step 1----Soak or spray object with OVEN CLEANER--thats right oven cleaner. The article said to use the yellow can of easy off. Well I didn't have that, so I used what I had. By the way paint stripper doesn't work. Here is what I used.

waited overnight

OOPS!!!!

Then I thought of something

Then all that black just wiped off ( I let them soak a couple hours)
Next I just used some Mothers aluminum polish

Way Better!!!
Alright hopefully on to bigger things!

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!

Thanks!

Alright I have been really busy helping my wife out with vacation bible school at church. I have parts stacked up but not on, which is totally not me. Usually the first chance I get ( about 10mins. after the ups/FedEx person leaves) the parts are installed. I finally got my rear prelude bracket in from Majestic. I also finished painting my rear seat stuff, and all the parts are in for that as well.

Have you ever had an idea that you thought was soo cool and then when it came to pass you were like, "what the heck was I thinking?". Well when I learned my Jdm eg6 headlights wouldn't fit because of my altenator hitting it, I decided to make my own headlights using tyc projectors and the jdm pieces. Here is that bright idea.

Well I have now decided to put the Jdm plastic lens on the Usdm housing because I hate the glass nipples on mine. In the oven and voila....

Couple more days and VBS will be over with then on to the good stuff. Until then have a good day!!!!!

I liked em for a while, but just seemed too much. But thanks any ways.

Well I got around to doing a couple of things the other day.
First thing was I Installed the B and R fittings clutch line...

Then I decided to put the right rear bracket on my motor
Notice the difference between the CB7 (acccord) bracket and the prelude one.

And then i replaced my motor mount inserts with new urethane (thanks rob @ Hasport!!)
Here is what the incorrect bracket will do on your mounts.

Alright was that not interesting? My car doesn't vibrate like it used to (whoo hoo).
Anyway I finished the two uppers of my back seat . I have to get more clips for the bottom though. Next I will be finishing my tuck and my bay and then body work!! I also have to finish polishing my wheels. Until then, Have a great day!!

Default THIS SUCKS

HERE we go again!!!!!!

First the good news------ I finally adjusted my Function Form coil overs and ordered new hardware for them( Thank YOU SOOOO much Andrew at F2autolife.com!!!! You the Man!!!!)

got my ITR intake tube and box. decided on a K&N, because I didn't see spending another $80 more on a Spoon.

But I lowered it too much in the front. It looked awesome, but my Skunk2 camber kit was hitting the shock tower. I also believe that the axles were hitting the forks. So no pics of that- due to the fact that I would be extremely jealous to look at it.

The BAD news----

Hurricane Gustav Sucks--- WE have Mandatory evacuation orders for our parish(county). So here goes this headache.

Pics of Us getting ready---

my new stance-- also rolled the fenders

finished my seats

Extra axles--just in case (don't know how I'm gonna get the nuts off w/o a compressor)

Extra gas-- can you tell witch is for the civic?

boarding up my house---

Now we are putting all the stuff we aren't taking in our two attics. Oh well, thats what we get for living down here. I want to stay at my house and bring my car to higher ground but my wife wants me to go with her and my daughter.

Well I saved the best news for last-- Positive on the Pee stick!!!!!

I just hope we don't come back to a house like this---

And just fo show and tell my cb7 next to my Camaro

Alright hopefully talk to yall later-----Have a great day!!!

We are actually going to Mississippi. If it tracks any further east we will go to my dads in Keithville.
S'port is where I spent 14yrs. of my life. HHS c/o 00

We are finishing putting everything in the attic and packing the cars. We will probably leave @ 2am to try to miss traffic and beat contraflow. I am actually about to pack my computer in a little bit.

Have a great day.
