Ok, I'm removing my stock USDM Type-R seats from my Type-R, I hate the tan cloth seats that are in my Prelude... What modifications are necessary to make them fit?

I searched, but couldn't find anything useful.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have recaro replicas in my 5th gen. I had to buy custom brackets for them to fit. I believe sparco made the brackets.

 

Those are standard bottom mount seats though, that's a bit simpler.

I'm talking for USDM Type-R seats.

 

Contact Wedge Engineering. They'll be able to make custom brackets/sliders for you.

 

Shouldnt you be able to do the same thing that everyone does with S2K seats to make them fit? Basically take the seats apart and swap the pans with the prelude ones that way it fits with the stock rails etc.

 

but what if i dont want to order some custom brackets and want to use original... can I just replace them from Lude's seats to Recaros/ITR seats? is it bolt on?

Meh, whatever, I found a full set of black OEM seats for a decent deal, I'll just go that route.

Annnnd the stock R seats go off to storage, with the rest of my stock parts.
