2007 civic making loud clattering noise - water-pump bearing?
My 07 civic started making a very loud clattering noise, almost like a valve rattle, this afternoon. My service advisor stated it was water-pump bearing going bad...very quickly. It is in shop awaiting parts to fix. Only 15k miles.
I stopped by a lube-center to ask the guys there on the way to Honda, and they stated it sounded like a bad alternator. Service advisor stated he could see a wobble in the bearing pulley.
Does this sound correct? I believe Honda is about to issue a recall/warning notice on this part.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem..
Thanks.

Honestly, just because you got a bad water pump/alternator why do you think Honda should issue a recall? That makes no sense. Just get it fixed.
ChargedSI...If you will take a moment to reread my post you will understand what I wrote:
"I believe Honda is about to issue a recall/warning notice on this part."
I did NOT state that I wanted Honda to issue a recall. I was told by the service advisor that Honda is about to issue a statement/recall/warning regarding the part. I read the Honda notice.
Chill out...I am having the car fix and will not be visiting YOUR forum in the future...It's all yours.
