but it did. last night between the hours of 10:00pm and 2:30am my car got stolen from my driveway . it was a 1996 honda civic ex it had black fenders with side markers, black mugen style lip, dark window tint with a "shocker" sticker on the upper right hand corner and some altezzas. those are the obvious. the car was located in palmdale, ca. no mode of security whatsoever since i could afford one at teh moment since i had my daughter.

i feel your pain bro, my car got lifted almost a month ago on my birthday of all days, at 5.30-6.00 am. you're right, you always hear of it happening to others, but it seems kind of surreal when it happens to you.

thats when you just have to believe in karma and believe that theives will get what is coming to them, in one way or another.

its not a problem. i got nothing but love for those in the same boat as me. hopefully they find yours in better shape than in which they found mine. lo-jack is starting to look mighty friendly...

 

there are way to many stolen threads...if your car has any value to a thief they will get it and take it no matter what system or measures u take.. car theft isint going to stop untill they stop giving thiefs 30 days in jail then release them..sure that guy just did 30 days but he also just made more then u make in 1 month so what does he care??, as most cars are recovered as shells.. not to mention that jail is well a vacation for most u dont have to do much get fed,watch some tv hang out with your buddies and crack jokes about how u screwed the last guy over..

bottom line is the punishment is a joke and the jail is a joke

hey how easy is it to install a killswitch and where do i do it?? is there a tread i can read about how to do it? I dont want my ex getting stolen either.......
Hope u find ur ride at least to have a project car.

 

a killswitch is just any ordinary 12 volt switch u get at radioshack etc... such as the ones used on fog lights.. and u wire it into your fuel pump or your starter wires and interrupt the circuit.. make sure u hide the switch in a secrete location u have to get more creative then hiding it under the steering wheel.

Hope u get ur car back and those thievz get whats coming to them... When i did auto to manual swap.. i left in the auto shifter piece and hide it under the center piece.. I just put it in drive and put the center piece back over it and it doesnt start

as for the aftermarket parts; the jdm fenders with "ek3" written on them...im guessin from a junkyard or something it also has the word "dude" written on the inside of one of the fenders, the mugen "style" lip, and a magnaflow axle back muffler. thats really all i have... would they really take it cause of the fenders??

as to car theives and punishment i completly agree. jail is just a vacation..... most of it is all crap! cool AC, cable tv, food (maybe crappy but its free) only CON is posible @ss rapege.LOL

and to the gun people im all for guns! id rather have a gun and NOT NEED IT rather than need it and NOT HAVE IT!

i had some physco about 9years ago swerve around me, pass me, pull infront of me and then slam on his brakes i didnt hit him to hard but i did crease his plastic bumper, he jumps out all crazy starts screaming at me and then SERIOUSLY punches my drivers window out, took him about 3-4hits but he finaly shattered it tho luckely for me i had tinted windows so the glass didnt fly in my face or my girlfriend and her friends that where also in the car with me, and i guess the guy continuing punching the busted glass to tear the tint must have hurt pretty good or something and/or his girl and guy friend riding with him screaming at him LETS GO LETS GO and he got back in his car and drove off.
cops dont care at all! after all the reports/ photos, guys liscence plate number and description as well as playing phone tag with the detective for ruffly a month i didnt get jack in closer!
so as soon as i could legaly i bought a gun. nothing crazy but if that sh** happens again that nuts gonna get shot at after they punch out my window!!!!!!!
luckely ive never had to pull my gun on anyone yet, but i still keep it with me all the time!

but anyways to the OP im shocked they would steal such a distinctive car.... a freaken cop should spot that car right away with the black panels!

i doubt the fenders is the reason they took it... they probally were hopping for a swapped civic. but that is pretty descriptive if anyone saw a fender with dude written on the inside that'd be a dead give away... i hope it was just a joy ride for your sake. and hopefully they didnt mess her up too much in the process. i got my fingers crossed for you

LOL maybe i should get a sticker that says SOHC/ Automatic. im sure people would stay away alittle bit.LOL only thing of value on my car is my wheels/suspension and my dvd radio.
