Default Swapping d16z6 into 96 civic ex (HELP)

recently bought the ek back with a bad block and since i have a spare z6 i was thinking about swapping it into the ek.. if anyone knows and can explain everything that i will need or change out ill appreciate it..THANKS!!

the 96 is obd2 rite and the z6 is odb1 rite

Swap the longblock in, resuse your Y8 intake, exhaust, distributor and ECU. I think thats about it, someone tell me if i missed something.

you can't run a 95 in a 96, has to be the same year engine as the chassis or newer per state regulatory crap. you might not pass inspection, and get ****.

a sohc is 300 from a junkyard just grab a 99 or something. easyer to swap in, no law headaches.

Injector plugs are different, I believe, so cut the ends off a '92-'95 so they'll plug up.

Also, I'm not sure about - but the alternator plug might be different...also, the distributor that you mentioned, the plug is different there for sure.

Yeah, injector plugs are definately different, i'd just swap the whole fuel rail and injectors along with intake manifold, alternator plug is also different as you said, '92 - '95 is round, i believe '96 - '00 is square.

Yea even tho their diff they could still b used .......like he said if u have everything from 1 swap and the other.... just swap everything their both basically the same sohc are usually the same just minor parts that change

And for the dizzy just look for an adapter on ebay like 25 30 $$$ so hope this helps and just write if u need help
