I've been searching for a Civic VX
Quick and simple I want a Civic VX, its hard to find one, but no one want to sell theirs because of gas prices (45-50 Mpg). debating on buying the VX motor D15Z1 and buying a civic w/o a motor and having a mechanic do the install. I want to keep my total cost under $4,000 I will want mechanic to do the install for I don't have the proper tools or the knowledge to do a motor install. My goal here is to have a fuel saver car 45-50 mpg
Anyone in the Sacramento area know any good mechanics they can recommend me?

keep searching for a VX, make sure it's a 49-state spec. Cali spec will not give you less mpg.
It may take you a few months to find a good one, but it's worth it.
the swap isn't difficult but will raise the price since you're paying someone to do everything.

marketplace on here, local forums, local shops. heck craigslist or ebay even.
There are always people pulling the Z1 for more power.
just make sure you get everything... engine/trans/ECU/harness/EGR control box/wideband O2/etc
