hey guys,

i need comments or suggestions from you guys here regarding the damage i've got on my 95 gsr recently. it looks like the front bumper has to be replaced and unfortunately, driverside frame is a bit bent so when i tried to fit the bumper and hood, it wouldn't line up. i took it to one of the bodyshop that my insurance recommended and they quoted $1300. i've never taken my car to a bodyshop before so i am not sure about the quality of their work and the price sounds a bit expensive. so at this point im not sure what to do. should i take it to acura dealer and get it fixed? or find any bodyshop who can work on damaged frame and go for jdm front?

any suggestions or commets are welcome!

I think i have the SAME problem
my hood is a little dis-aligned with my bumper
and it has a gap from the hood and fenders and a gap from the hood =/

i switched my hood thinking it was that but
i think its either my bumper or fenders
and if there BOTH not the problem and my cars
just not aligned right then im pretty much screwed cause idk how much thats gonna cost!! =/

 

i think u should go to a local body shop and get yourself a jdm bumper ..some dealerships don't have doby shops in them they actually send u to a private body shop for the work anyways.

 

Get a couple of quotes before you take any where to get it fix. Its your money get more for it. I live on the east coast and 1300 for frame its way too much but ya'll in cali so...

dont know how you guys are in cali but in wisconsin your insurance can only recommend you to a shop. you can choose to go wherever you want to get it fixed. if you want to take it to an acura dealership than do that.
