if you arent sure what fiberglass was actually called, you should probably not bother trying to make anything out of it. It's tricky stuff to get right an a lot of work, not to mention messy.

DO NOT USE BONDO!!!!!!!! GAH!!!!!!!!! (runs away)

no...serious.....DO NOT use bondo products, they are CRAP. harder than hell to sand with and you get pin holes like crazy.
if your gonna use products, go out and buy evercoat products. they're great. and use a product called kitty hair or duraglass, they're basically the same thing.

of course the proper way to do this project is with foam as your mold then fiberglass over top of it, then apply your filler to correct your mistakes and bring up the low spots.
filler is not supposed to be used as a base at all. you are only supposed to use as little as possible.

the best filler out there is evercoat rage gold. i have it..its a dream, sands very easy and virtualy leaves no pins holes.

if your really serious bout this project.. PM me and i'll get you on the right track.

Bondo will crack as soon as it sees a speed bump.

This is a lip off a 87 Integra i bought from the junkyard for 5 bucks, just needed to trim a little off the sides. You can make molds of these if you just want an okay looking lip. Yes, i know my car is dirty and ugly.

um....no the best thing to do if you want to start making them you need to buy one and use it as a template
just lay the fiberglass over the front and the topand around the sides but not at the bottom just yet apply the resin then to make it stronger get a pack of fiberglass strands and feather it let the resin cure then when it's finished curing the do just the just the front and the bottom the same way let that cure then take the resin and join the two pieces together sand , drill your holes ,then paint
