h23a1 orrrr d16z6????
heres the scenario , my shop has a h23a1 pulled out of a prelude si has the complete motor but i dont remember why they pulled the motor. it could have been rod knock or just something simple as a BHG but it has intake, exhaust manifold , head ,cams and everything but been sitting for 2 years . my boss said i could have it for 25 bux . then theres a d16z6 that is just a longblock with valve cover , that needs rings and i can just freshen it up and buy that for 75 bux and i can use my d15 trans, intake exhaust , bla bla
the question is : is it worth all that effort to put in an h series on a 90 hatch si or should i just try to put that d16 in and make it easy

honestly its never a good idea 2 go H series.. especially in an ef.. yea u have power but its a bitch 2 put in and the fact ur steering, handling, and braking go out the window.. plus H series like 2 drop sleeves. just fyi
I'd go with the engine you know isn't junk, and buy the H23a1 and part it. It may be good, it may not; hell for $25 you could find out, and if it is, put it in a project car.

50 lbs does not make your steering, handling or braking go out the window. Please stop spreading misinformation!
