Ok so here is what i got. While driving, my 1992 honda accord's engine will just shut off...no loud noises or anything. i will just be driving with my foot on the gas and all of a sudden i will realize that my car is slowing and i have to steer off to the side of the road.
i have no idea what is wrong. i have read many different things but i do not know what to do.

Here is what i have done recently to my car.....
replaced the main relay
Recently i had the o ring on the distributer replaced because oil was leaking into the cap.
new coils and spark plug wires.
new distributor about six months ago but was told that this problem could be that i got a faulty distributor????

Every now and then i will also have a problem that i found out was pretty familiar. i will start my car and the d4 light will be stuck on and then the car revs high because it is stuck in a high gear and i heard it was the TCU i believe

COULD MY WHOLE PROBLEM BE THE BAD COMPUTER UNIT CAUSING ALL THESE PROBLEMS OR IS IT SOMETHING DIFFERENT..

Is your check engine light on?

 

The check engine light is only on for a second right when the engine shuts off. After turning the car all the way off and then back on, it starts up right away and the check engine light goes away.
