Default And yet another Muffler thread

So I've got a 92 lude, jdm h22a, crappy header, 2.5" exhaust, cat, blahblah, and I believe a matrix exhaust. It's not too bad sounding, its nice and deep, but its just a little loud for my taste, especially interstate driving etc as I am at about 4000 rpms at 75mph and it gets annoying. I want something a little more stock sounding where I can hear more engine than exhaust. The vibrant muffler seems a little raspy for me, and I hear the obx twin loop isn't bad...I know most of you will say mugen but truth be told I am looking to spend about $100 to just shut her up a bit.

So what are your suggestions and personal experiences? Thanks!

I was in the same boat as you. I had a generic N1 style ebay muffler (installed by previous owner) and it was annoyingly loud at any RPM. This was my choice, very low pitch, no rasp. Almost silent at constant RPMs. I can hear my radio again

OBX is the APC of aftermarket parts.

stay off ebay. Stay away from parts that are only known through ebay.

as i always say to these threads, and i hope you read my response next time.. get one of the stock s2000 mufflers, IMO they're perfect for the preludes because theyre quiet and stock looking when you need them to be, while still retaining the ability to scream at higher RPM's
