Default Which sensor to buy

Hello I need help for my automatic 91 honda accord with 260,000 miles on it god bless it but the question is I dont know which speed sensor to get for my honda the problem im having is which speed sensor is it when the speedometor dosent work and and also my car is slipping out of gears. I could be driving the car one day and it goes to the fourth gear a few minutes later it will drop to the second gear and will not go back to the second gear.

Is this also the same sensor as the sensor I would need for speedometor or are they totally different. I had the computer check it out and my mechanic said its one of the two sensors please help

The sensor that sends information to the speedometer is the VSS (vehicle speed sensor), is located on your transmission. Best way to reach it will be removing your intake, and looking at the back of the tranny, on top, there will be a plug there, simply unplug the wire. Get a philips screw driver and remove the 3 little screws and install the new VSS.

And here's a pic of the VSS... just so you know what to look for!
