1992 Accord Eats Batteries
I have a 1992 Honda Accord that goes through batteries quite frequently--in a matter of a few months. This isn't my main car and I
only drive it for a few miles once every two weeks. I had Penske (K-Mart) put in a new Champion 72month battery in March 2002, and now it's dead and
K-Mart is bankrupt. I admit I don't put many miles on the car but I do start it up every couple weeks but it seems like every 4-5 months or so, I need a new
battery. Could the alternator be weak, a poor quality battery or do these cars need to be driven more? I've had 1980's American cars before that I didn't
drive much and the batteries didn't give out on them so frequently. What gives here?
