Cutting Out.
I've had my '91 hatch off the road for a while. I just recently put it back on, and am having a weird problem.
At certain speed it will just cut out, and buck for a split second. The car remains running, but it is comparable to a human hiccup.
It's starting to do it in first gear now too...I'll take off and it'll hiccup...then chirp the tires...
It's really annoying. The car has never died on me, but based on how it is acting, I'd like to get this figured out.
I did a MPFI conversion about a year ago, so I'm not sure if that is acting up or not...
Just figured I'd see if anyone has any input and/or advice.
Thanks in advance,
-Dennis

is your ecu throwing any codes? is your battery loose or anything like that? if you arent throwing any codes, maybe you should check wheel bearings too, just to be safe. If one of them is in rough shape, it could cause that.
do your revs drop or electrical cut out when it happens?
anyway.. there are a lot of things it could be, so any more info you can provide about the symptoms, the easier it will be to figure out.

I have no tach, but the revs don't really seem to drop. It does chirp the tires though in first..so it must drop a little..then kick back in...
As far as ECU...I'm getting IAT and IAC (EACV).
Probably one of those?
