clay bar with Degreaser??
is it bad to use degreaser for example simple green or purple power on your paint, because when i bought the clay bar kit and tried the spray that it came with it didnt take off the heavy over spray from the previous owner so i used degreaser with the clay bar is that bad.
A degreaser isn't going to do anything to overspray. You're going to want to use combination of a stronger (red) clay and lacquer thinner if blue clay isn't working. The red clay is going to scratch the paint pretty bad because it's similar to running sandpaper over the paint therefore you must buff it.
To technically answer your question: No, degreaser will not hurt your paint if you wash it off fairly soon after you apply it. Also, the spray they give you with the clay bar isn't designed to do anything other than provide lubrication for the clay bar.
In summary, the only thing that is going to help you remove the overspray is blue/red clay, lacquer thinner on a rag, and buffing in that order.
Good luck!

actually the degreaser did take off the over spray fast and easy, but thanks for the reply though i just wanted to make sure i wasnt hurting my paint
Guys he said he used the CLAY BAR WITH DEGREASER!!!
It won't HURT the paint to use a clay bar with degreaser, but next time you can just use a cap-full of degreaser with water in a spray bottle and do just fine. Just enough to break the surface tension of the water will work.

ok i guess it was just left over poop from monkeys throwing it back in the jungle when my car was used to off road back in the days
ummm yeah i used CLAY BAR WITH DEGREASER like roadrage said, the overspray came off just that easy with purple power you should try it
for the record one more time it was (OVERSPRAY) from the previous owner trying to paint the moldings and it looked like he never masked off anything, probably just took paper and went as he painted
