Need Advice !
Ok , basically my engine came out of my passenger side engine mount causing this http://members.***.net/walton90/crx.htm . Thw local mechanic quoted 2000+ to repair it ( I paid 2000 bucks for the car) . My parents are considering the B16 swap , because they know I have been saving up for one and was going to do it in a few months. They will loan me the money. A local honda guy that does swaps for people quoted me 3500 for a b16 installed w/o ac and 3800 w/ ac . I want a b16a1 w/ a y1 lsd and pr3 ecu . The local guy said they are rare and said it would be around 4500 for that . So i figure i could pay 1550 plus shipping for a b16a1 w/ a y1 lsd and pr3 ecu from hondamotorsonline.com and psy the local guy like 500 bucks for labor. He said I could either buy the mounts or let him weld it , he said the mounts are better because you are using the strongest points for the engine . Which is the best mount kit yall suggest? What do yall think I should do ?Gt the b16 from the local guy and let him swap it for 3500 , or order the engine off hondamotorsonline for 1550 (how much is shipping usually?) + the $500 mount kit =2150 plus 500 labor = 2650 .... so thats like 3000 w/ the shipping and labor . I need opinions!!
hold up wtf did ur mount do ur mount broke or the bolt came out???? i mean if it was me and i didnt have $$ to toss around id fix that **** myself but i dont know wut all u need to fix it but looks like u need a tps an axle and wutever to fix that mount but u didnt take a pic of the mount
The bolt came out , the mechanic said i need all the mounts (4) for 115 each , tps sensor and that they dont sell just the sensor so ill have to buy a new throtle body for 600 bucks , axles and cv joints , bearings .
