i have a b16 in my 91 ef and for some reason my vtec wont open. i checked all the wires and everything is connected correctly. i took off the solinoid and took it apart to check for clogging and its clean. i check all my CEL and i have iacv, speed senor. and i know that vtec wont open if there is something wrong wit the speed sensor but the sensor marks my mph's so i dont think its that?? and i dont think its the ecu??? the only thing left that i can think of is swapping out the solioid and checking the ecu but i wanna hear you opinions.

V-tec will not engage with any Codes being. thrown. it goes into what is called safe mode. u must clear all your codes then u should be good. also check your oil pressure sensor for the v-tec.
