ok so, i have a mini me swap d16 and i was wondering about a cam. what is a decent cam to put in, most bang for the buck. and what goes along with it, new cam seal? new valves? springs? is it necessary or is there a cam i can put in that i dont have to upgrade the valvetrain?

 

Anything you can put in without needing to tune isn't worth it.

 

well i have an apexi neo and wideband so i can tune it.

 

That doesn't help with ignition.

another thing.. upgrading camshaft's always upgrade valvesprings and retainers..
of the same brand if possible..

 

then what would i need to buy to use a higher lift cam?

 

^^ upgraded springs, retainers, more compression etc etc. search around the archives, there's plenty of info on what you need.
