yeah im not stupid i race my car at the track every weekend. i just asked for a simple answer to people who have si's didnt need the smartass comments buddy.
Welcome to honda-tech where everyone hates on you for asking a simple question. Anyways try searching it because ive read a few threads with guys posting there times but havnt seen any slips. I think most guys run 15 or low 15s with stock a stock Si and with basic I/H/E easily getting into the 14s.
16 secs is terrible. Driver plays a huge part not to mention elevation, temperature, etc. but some guys are even breaking the high 14s stock. Heres one guy with slips but if you search that forum you'll find lots of guys with different mods and times.

You have your numbers wrong. Most people are in the 15s stock, a few in the 14's but not many. A mid 14 can be achieved in this car with a great driver.

Considering that professional drivers hired by magazines average 14.8 or so, I think that is a more realistic number, but you never know.
My first ever run down the track in my '08 Si (and any car for that matter), I ran a 15.935 @ 90.89mph. My best time of that first day was 15.551 @ 90.29. My best overall time in my bone stock (except for a K&N drop-in) is a 15.282 @ 91.55 mph. That's with the spare tire and all seats (everything that came stock) and the stock all season michelins.
This was at Island Dragway in NJ which is a very slick track. I've heard Englishtown is a better track, but that you don't get as many runs. At Island, you can pretty much hot lap, unless someone breaks and throws oil on the track.
My average for the 43 runs I've made is like 15.5, but that includes some experimental high 15s trying to find the best tire psi and best launching rpm. (fyi- my best run was at normal tire pressure-35 psi all around, and I launched at about 3.5k) I can't wait to get my mods, because now I am consistent and have pretty much reached a solid baseline to compare future numbers to. There was a NHBP FA5 there and it's best was a 14.9 (with Hondata reflash, full exhaust, intake, lightweight wheels, performance tires and it was lowered), but every other run I saw him make he was 15.3+.
For everyone with a K&N drop-in...I noticed the last time I went to the track that my car was hesitating when I shifted into 4th (possibly knocking off a few hundreths) and it didn't feel like it was pulling as hard as it should. I suspected that it was the K&N and today I swapped it out for the stock filter and did some test runs in my area. The hesitation is gone, and it feels great in 4th. It also made the car much easier to shift smoothly during all driving methods. I'm not positive that it will help my quarter mile numbers but I will definitely see on the 25th when I go back to the track. If there is any improvement I will let you know, and be very disappointed with K&N. I never expected the filter to give me more power (and w/out it I missed it's sound), but I definitely don't want it to rob any.

Yeah...maybe with some decent tires and (possibly) the stock air filter, I can break into the 14s, but I really don't see my car going any faster than a 14.9.

No he's not. He's thinking realistically. Any sap that thinks a bone stock Si is going to run low 14s is dreaming. On a level track with a PROPERLY callibrated clock that's not gonna happen.

Lol, I believe you are correct. You got to remember, I am old and forget stuff. Since I never tracked my car, I was trying to remember what I read in prior posts. My bad, sorry.

Explain? I didn't say that I definitely will. I said MAYBE. It'd be nice. And thinking that some decent tires could possibly gain me 3 tenths, is not ridiculous, especially considering my 60' times are terrible because I spin all through 1st.
I never said I ran anything that I haven't actually done. If you want time slips, I'll copy them; all 43 if that makes you happy.
