Default brake brand question

I was looking at getting some new rotors and pads for my '90 rex, was wondering if anyone knows how good the Summit Racing rotors are? I'm looking at these:link. It's my daily driver so I'm not looking for overly expensive racing-grade stuff, just something better than stock (ie cross-drilled/slotted).

And for pads are Hawk Performance HPS good?

Thanks for any suggestions.

autozone life time replacement you buy them once and never have to pay for them again when they wear out just take them in and say i want to replace them under the warranty and they hand you new pads i actually did it today

All rotors are good as long as they aren't warped.

depends on the quality you get it's anywhere from 20-50 bucks for front pads 50 being ceramics 20 being the cheap stuff i like the one thats in the middle of them it's this like semi metallic or something like that and there like 50 bucks for front and rear pads i think not to sure but go down to your autozone and just ask what they have that has the warranty

i should go to autozone and get this autozone deal too b/c my one caliber is bad and it hangs up. so i could just let the rotor eat the brake pads and not really worry about hurting my pocket. haha

Pad compounds are much more important then your rotor selection. All the cross-drilled and slotted nonsense is exactly that, nonsense. A good flat faced rotor paired with a good pad and a refreshed braking system makes for ridiculously short stops.

Drilled/Slotted is over rated... all it does is EATS pads... and with that said you can EXPECT tons of brake dust... get some nice cryo treated blanks

OEM style blanks from Autozone with some decent pads for what kind of driving you will do. Can't go wrong

Awesome, I looked into the autozone rotors/pads. Looks like I'm just going to go with those. Thanks for the input.

True. When I did the EX knuckle upgrade, I got Honda OEM Front Calipers and Master cylinder, Napa blank rotors and middle class/type brake pads rear disc conversion from Hmotors. All I have to say, FANTASTIC STOPPING POWER. I have no regrets but only wished I had extra cash for Honda OEM rear calipers and brake lines
