Default Roof Swap on a ef

Long story short. I smashed into a cow. Cow's head damaged my roof. I read up wes v write up how to do it and everything. With me little experience into body work and everything, I managed to get the roof off nicely. My question is do I spot weld the roof on and then use some type of glue or glue it down and then spot weld around it? I just want to do it right at the 1st time.

here some pictures of the damage and during the process.

here when i had some fun with a friggin cow.

still got them hairs on there! Yum tasty!

It been sitting an year after the wreck, because I couldnt find a si shell. Car is striped as of now, Because I figure to do a complete overhaul with shaving engine bay and tucking and everything else at once.

donor car and roof.

I got it just sittin on the project car, nee to know what to do 1st.

Unless it came with panel bond then I would not bother with it. Just fit it up and clean your weld holes and the panel you are welding onto. Use a weld through primer on the car and then go at it. After it is all weldid on, clean all your welds front and back, do your body work and use some vari prime or an acid etch primer on any bare metal or welds. After everything is all primed then run a thin bead of sealer on any seams to prevent water leaks.
There you are done till you go to paint.

sorry i havent update it lately. I was told by a pro bod y shop in the area to use panel bonding since its only a roof skin. It's done and the roof will not come off! glue is soo strong. About the cow, well it died because the pillar split his neck open.

Yup panel bond is the way to go. Im only familiar with 3M products, but the panel bond is stronger than a weld!

Good work BTW. At first I was honestly expecting a hack job.
