Clean Canadian R. Is that a DC5 'Integra' emblem?

I like it, looks great, love the "accord front" and the k series. Only thing I see is the engine bay could use some detail. Looks great though. Would you be interested in parting with that lip kit?

Wow what a bunch of haters.

JDM_brother your car looks great, I dont care what people think K series is the NOW!!! B series can go die somewhere. I build cars to exact spec as yours everyday. I never fail to sell, good job to each his own.

It's like putting an LS1 into a 69 Camaro Z28 (solid-lifter 302 with 850CFM carb). Sure, it's kinda cool, but at the end of the day it isn't original and it just isn't the same as the stock motor.

Newer is not always better, and overall speed isn't an indication of that either.

With that said, I don't understand the allure of the K-Series into an ITR platform. There are many cheap hatches to do this to, and in the end that car will be faster due to the weight of the chassis.

Hatches don't score enough bling points as an R chassis does y0.

Yeah... but old stangs of the 68-69 era (wider than the 64-67's) with new supercharged lightning motors are pretty wild.

But I too get your point.

i think its sick, and there is nothing wrong with putting a better motor into an already great chassis, with that philosophy it would be like saying my father was stupid for converting his 69 mustang that was automatic 6cyl into a 302 FI 5 speed

Not hating. He asked for our OPINIONS. I prefer the B series motor and yes, I dislike the JDM front, I find it ugly.

I always find it funny that everyone is a "hater" if they disagree with you.

purists=elitest

not everything on the itr is the best that you can get, if it was their wouldnt be an aftermarket or the need for honda to create k-series

Whats better about it? The K throws off the balance of the caR. It doesnt sit in the spot as a B. Why don't you think Honda has never put in a K in a double wishbone car? Theres a very good reason for it.

Other than that.....Clean caR.

I'm not an elitist at all, but, tell us why the K series is so much better than the B series in technical detail.

Elitest is the people that talk crap to Civic and Accord owners cause they have an R... not the people who think K should stick with K chasis or Civics and B's should be in R's that are not Theft recovery or stolen.

This r looks great, but it looks like a K with JDM front which i see all the time... if it had ITB's or Turbo then different or even a color change/rims/etc.

K isn't always better, but it is the future i will give you that.... cost will continue to be an issue for those that beat their cars at the track.

And I agree with hooch. There's a huge difference between a "purist" and an "elitest".

And the reason to upgrade the motor of a BASE MODEL car is obvious, not so much on a top of the line limited production car, in that case it can be viewed as retarded to those who hold stock cars to a higher $ value. Hell for me to buy a K swapped ITR I'd have to get it cheap enough to dump the K series in a dumpster (or maybe a civic) and put my preferred motor back into the car, while not spending any more money than just getting a car with the C5 in it already.

Nothing elitest about that, it's just my preference. You have a different one, that's life.

exactly

the main benefit i see of the K over the B is displacement/stroke and variable cam timing

Doesn't the 1st generation TSX have double wishbone all the way around? And balance the k motor sits opposite the driver in the dc chasis, theorectically wouldn't that make the car more balanced.
