Default I need your opinion on Brakes

I am autocrossing my CRX soon, and I need some brake pads. I am having trouble choosing, can you help? Also, which compounds should I get for street/autocross, I dont want pads that eat my rotors.

P.S. I dont care if this poll has been done before, Just be helpful.

Bear breaks are awsome along with willwood and brembo. Take your pick and see how much money you want to spend.

I cannpt afford new calipers, or larger rotors, I also cannot put them on for the autoX class i'm in. If i was to change, I would probably put Accord brakes on. For now I will just change the pads. thanks

I'm a cheap A**. I go with Autozone lifetime pads and shoes. When I got my CRX a month ago, I redid the whole brake sytem and it stops on a dime now...and it didn't cost that much either.

Can you afford $400-500? I got 92-96 Prelude vtec Power Stop rotors, 91-94 Accord Wagon calipiers, 90-91 civic ex Spindles, and Axxis Pads on the wagon calipiers. Works great I recomend it to anyone. I broke hard from 100+ 4times in a 10min period yesterday comming home from the track. It smelt a little bit, but did not fade. It did not warp the rotors either. I can warp stock rep. rotors in an evening. This setup is the way to go. I recomend saving up and doing the conv. Go to http://www.car-part.com to get the parts. It is the hook up.

This is the **** guys.. and fits like stock..

Seriously go for the Accord Wagon calipers or even better if you don't want to shim the brackets use the 1989-1991 Legend 2.7L front calipers and discs..they are 282mm!!

you can go from 242mm -> 262mm on you current knuckles or even have 282mm rotors if you use the 1989-1991 EX 4door civic knuckles

get some hawk HPS pads for your stock calipers and be done with the brakes. and you won't be bumped into another, more competitive auto-x class.
