So if you replace it with the test pipe, will that be good for emissions or not? And will is sound louder?

you will be close on emissions...and you might fail....you will hear a difference in the top end....it also eliminates the buzzing sound of the exhaust (sometimes)....

in most areas you will probably FAIL emissions testing if you try to pass with a straight pipe. the cat. converter (i abreviated cus i cant spell! HA!) is pretty much what makes you pass/fail...

You will fail emissions and it will be loud as hell.
Just had mine replaced with a test pipe and I can barely hear my girlfriend unless she yells while accelerating.
Also my exhaust just started buzzing ...anyway to fix this?

Why does everyone dislike caround cats? I got one and it's fine. It's all hell of alot cheaper than a random one.

I had a carsound but returned it, they were nice, but no better than random IMO, also the randoms have the o2 bung and WILL pass emmisions, from experience, i have the aq printout to prove it... i'm pretty sure carsound will too, but it would require welding and custom fit, also not ideal if your obd2

I have an OBDI car and I had it done with my swap so they had to chop up my exhuast anyway. Otherwise I don't think Hi-flow cats are going to add much power unless the old one is clogged. The 2-3hp gained is probably not worth the B.S. and cost on a OBDII vehicle unless you do a OBDII workaround.
