Default Aluminum Exhaust?

last night wihile i was down at my shop i was tiging up some aluminum piping for a car that we are building and i got this sudden idea for an aluminum exhaust. im sure it would have to be from the cat back because of heat issues but any input would be nice. im just looking to see if anyone has done it or seen it and if there is any noticable differences. thnx alot HT

Difference being weight reduction and reduced durability to road debris / scrapes etc, and don't forget cost.

it is definetly interesting. you mentioned heat issues but i dont know if it would hurt or help. aluminum dissapates heat really quickly.

im thinking the sound of the exhaust would resonate in the aluminum and be loud as **** and probably sound horrible. but other than that, and cost i bet it would be great.
