D16 trans compatability
I need to replace my trans i have a 93 civic ex 5-sp d16z, and all im finding are trannies that were previously on d15 motors. Will a d15 trans mission work with my d16z motor? I'm desperate here guys... let me know please
A000 are CX/DX/VX/LX transmissions, CX/VX are identical transmissions and are geared the longest, DX/LX transmissions are next in line, geared shorter than the CX/VX transmissions they are still considered long. The B000 transmissions are out of the EX/Si These are the shortest geared D-series transmissions and provide the best acceleration. These also came on the JDM D15B Vtec, some of which came with the optional limited slip differential. I think there is some difference in bearing sizes between the A000 and B000, but i don't know for sure, but i'm sure there is some D-series tranny expert on here than can answer that.
