Default euro r trouble

Just installed my euro r and now im dealing with a five blink cell and a very high idle, any ideas . Ive searched all over for a 5 blink code and found nothing . fyi stock tb , p13 ecu, egr installed, got an extra nipple on the underside of the mani , i read somewhere that it hooked to the iacv but theres no nipple for it . I also have a loose line from the other end of the small canister that hooks to the egr .

code 5 is MAP sensor

and you cant bolt a USDM/JDM throttle onto the EuroR without getting a vacuum leak. You have to plug the hole at the bottom of the throttle body where the TB and intake manifold meet. the FITV port leaks there.

ok so theres ur answer doesnt need to be plugged. What was that for btw, originally ?

The iacv only bolts to the mani and has 2 coolant hoses going to and from it.

Is the idle bouncing at all or just saying high ? How high ? It sounds like a vacumm leak to me. Is there anything open on the mani at all ?

5 blink cel? Were they all long, were they all short, were some short some long? The way the op describes it, I'm not entirely sure he knows how to read it.

Yeah 5 quick blinks did turn out to be the map sensor, due to open lines and the fact that the stock tb will not mate completely. I got a piece of another gasket and cut it to the shape of the leak area. gonna go and see if my idle is any better.

might have to . the gasket thing didnt work , idle was a bit better despite the sound of a fully built drag car and the loud screaming that the pinched pieces of gasket were making . Just a little paranoid about using jb weld for the job tho . What if pieces break off and hit the cylinders ? Liguid gasket maybe ?

you have to let it set completely before running the motor.

screaming noise? Do you have the IACV adapter on correctly? it's possible to install it upside down.

no , the screaming was from the air pulling past the gasket that wasnt sealed properly . I just put some quick steel on those areas , it cures faster and stronger than jb weld from all of the experiences I have had with them both .

alright ive sealed the tb ( lowering my idle) . Connected all vacuum lines . my idle still sits at 2000 - 2500 rpm when its not fluctuating and making a whistle . When I test drove I had bogging issues at anything less than 2000 . I also had no vtec , although as my first time experiencing the harder pull ,wow , just no vtec . iacv and or fitv ? im gonna let it sit tomorrow , dont like driving on codes .

its possible to mount the IACV upside down. It will whistle through the IACV port inside the throttle opening.

where is that yellow hose going? if that is what is hooked up to the map sensor, that explains your trouble. That hose should be routed to the valve cover. unless you already have another hose hooked up to the valve cover vent, then cap off that nipple

if that yellow hose IS feeding the MAP, just move it from the intake pipe to a nipple on the intake manifold

iacv looks ok, the nipple on the bottom of the flange goes nowhere, that was part of the air injection on the euro-r cylinder head.

where does that yellow hose go??

the yellow hose is routed from the intake pipe to one of the two nipples that connected to the stock intake manifold the second of the two nipples from that same spot goes to the single nipple right next to where the iacv mates to the manifold .
