catch can on b20vtec
im building a b20vtec and realized that ive completely forgotten about crankcase pressure. so, im preparing to order an mfactory catch can to solve this. i understand i simply plug the stock pcv port (which may not exist on the b20 but its at the machine shop) and open up the other two ports and run those through the top of can. i plan on manually emptying it to avoid contaminants getting in my oil. soo... what about my valve cover. im not a big fan of breather filters on the valve cover. should i a) cap it b)leave it as is (going to intake arm) or c) just use a breather filter? thank you.

ive seen a thread that has a bitmap image with the routing of a catch can setup laid out on it, but i cant find it through searching..anyone?

Stock b20 only has a pcv valve that goes directly on the valve cover. The normal b series oil seperator and pcv setup was deleted with later model LS and all B20s. There are plugs on the back of the block you can use to vent the crankcase but from my experience they are not the best option. Under very hard use and WOT runs they tend to overflow typical catchcans with oil. Best bet is to have some -8 bungs welded onto the front of the valvecover behnd the baffle.
so i can just weld up some bungs on the vc and call it a day? i was just going to run an mfactory can, so i can just run both holes to that and plug the drainback?
that's my catch can thread you guys were talking about.

did you plug off the spot where the original pcv system was hooked up at? did it matter which port you used as a return and has the "feed?" and still, what about the valve cover?

I run that same setup @ the road course and catch less than a 1/4 of a tank of oil for the whole day.
Baffled oil pan makes a huge difference.
