without a notching jig, here is my suggestion....

clamp the merge pipe in a vice. drill a 1/4" pilot hole into the side of your pipe and out the other side at the prefered angle, these holes will now be your guide.

now get a 3" hole saw, with a long pilot bit....line your pilot bit up with the holes at the angle you wanted.... and drill away so that the hole saw cuts the pipe away and leaves you with the desired radius and angle....if its stainless you want to do this to...good luck ....you may need the proper equipment

you basically want to emulate this process

Also, I know this will sound crazy, but if you have a tig welder and can figure out how to cut the pipe so it fits right, you can use the tig welder as a plasma cutter... turn the amps way up and just welt away down a line. After the "cut" just grind down to a smooth edge and you are good to go.

I know this is very very very crude way of doing it, but when I was younger with not much tools in my garage, I would do that **** all the time.

any time you merge exhaust together, it's going to affect the flow. The smaller the angle, the better off you'll be though.

good luck

Grind your hole on the big pipe until you can slide the small pipe in at the angle you want. Hold it where you want it, and draw around it with a Sharpie. Cut along the line.

yeah, i have no problem actually cutting the metal, i just cant figuire out the right way to cut the pipes so they fit right. dont they make a grinding bit kinda like the picture abaove but instead of the hole saw it was a big grinding bit that would grind away the right shape?

if the hole saw didnt work...

take the cardboard cylinder from a roll of toilet paper, or wrapping paper......something with roughly the same diameter as your merge pipe

play around with that as is if were the merge pipe and cut it until it conforms nicely...than slide that carboard sleeve over your merge pipe and trace. presto
